Penguin Chef strikes!

Ever since i had moved to Japan, the people i met be e.g Shota's friends or driving school teachers would strike a conversation with me ending with if i cook. The 1st few times, i did not mind at all and smilingly replied not at all. In fact, my husband is the one that cooks. However as topic continue to bring up by others more, i start to feel quite embarrassed and wonder if its that bad. 

Even when my mil and Shota's grandmother was concerned about me not being able to cook since people in countryside cook frequently at home. Shota had to assure them it is 1 of reason he choose me. I'm pretty sure that no other men choose a wife or girlfriend as 1 of criteria that she cannot cook lol! In fact, it would be total opposite! 

Now situation is still the same but he had started requesting me to learn from him how to cook basic meals so i will not starve or be in a dilemma when he needs to be away or preparation for our future when we have kids. Imagine telling my kids that Gomen! Have to wait for dad to come back ok? Since your lousy mom can't cook at all. Please eat bread 1st... :p

 So far i had whip 2 simple dishes and i do not intend to show it here since its so easy that you will say how dare you show it! Even kids that cook can do it! My fragile heart cannot take such comments now since its a big step for me lol!
