My 1 year visa is ending soon at next year March. Hence we need to go back Aomori to apply for renewal of visa. 1 month ago, we went to Aomori to check on the procedures and necessary documents to bring and when should be the best time to renew. They advised us to come again in Dec and so we did with all our documents required *at least that's what we thought before leaving the house*
Upon reaching the office, we placed all the documents at the counter including my spouse visa. The officer questioned did you bring along the passport? Suddenly, both of us were frozen on the spot and i exclaimed i didn't bring at all! Both of us had forgotten about the passport! I recalled that the officer did told us a month ago when we went the 1st time. It had totally slipped out of our minds. Driving to Aomori takes about 1hr and toll fee of 800 yen for usage of the highway each time. Therefore for round trip, we need to spend 1600 yen and 2 hrs of driving. What a waste of time and money!
Thankfully my parents in law stayed in Aomori so we can visit them at the same time. Okaasan teasingly said we are 忘れっぽい夫婦 meaning forgetful husband and wife lol! Indeed we are!
