S been's away for his resue training and I need to handle the cooking myself. Been trying various of new recipe. Cooking is no fun alone, usually the ingredients are in such big volume that I can hardly finish in 2 meals. Furthermore im the fickle minded type, that does not like eating the same meal. Had to consider very carefully and plan 3 days meal ahead to control food wastage. Along I had known eating outside is costly (Back in Singapore, eating outside is cheaper than cooking for yourself, but if you are cooking for 3 and more , then cooking is cheaper). In Japan, cooking yourself is really the best way to save money. Usually I cooked 1 time and spilt into 2 portions to eat the next day, would only cost me 600 yen. So that's 300 yen ($4) for 1 meal, but eating outside (just ramen) costs 900-1000 yen ($10 - $13). Huge Difference!
There's also udon store that only sell udon for 300 yen but...... if you buy at supermarket, you can use the same 300 yen to buy a packet of frozen udon (5 packs) and just pour the sauce in....
