Sorry for the long absence, I was touring Sapporo and Otaru and having a blast of my life.
We board the ferry at night and arrived at Tomakomai, Hokkaido 7 hours later at 5am. We stayed in 2nd class cabin with 2 bunk beds and used their public onsen to take our shower. The ferry did not have private toilets. The experience was decent until we went back to our cabins and called it a night. The room was so stuffy and hot, I could smell e fuel smoke and feeling the each wave and swaying of the ocean. Everyone woke up looking like zombies lol! None of us slept well at all.
From the harbour we took a cab ride to JR station and headed to Sapporo, 40 mins away. Sapporo is just like a replica of Tokyo, everyone was rushing and walking in a rapid pace at the station. I just wish to get out of their way.
We left our luggages at hotel and since we only can check in at 2.30pm, we explored the tourist places.
The good point about Sapporo was the tourist places are within walking distance to each other and easily seen. By 2pm, we were so exhausted that none of us could concentrate on shopping and we are trying really hard to look awake. Finally, when we checked in and able to take 2 hours nap.
