The next day, the boys decided to go Pearl Harbour which was a hr drive. Taking a cab back and fro will cost more and hence they went to rent a car in the morning. It costed $200 usd for 24hrs. My okaasan and obaachan wanted to go shopping instead and so we spilt our ways and met up later in the afternoon.
I followed the boys as i did not have $$ to spend anyway if i went to the mall, well... not that it was as cheap as Bangkok or Taiwan. All the nice brands that i like is way out of my budget. This time, i am more interested in sightseeing than shopping. If i had continued working, i will certainly pick shopping!
Driving was not easy as U.S driver seat is on left side, all their turns are also on left side, they usually do not signal if the lane stated its turning left and the GPS did not specify which lane to drive until u have to turn. Often when we are driving in 3 lane road, we have to cut in either way or drive 1 round back to main road because of GPS notification. Our japanese car GPS will inform you beforehand there are 3 lanes and what are their directions and which lane should you follow.
Pearl Harbour is huge and there's still active base as well. We went to aviation museum and there were tons of tourists. Even in huge car park, we had to keep driving round and round looking for an empty slot. In the end, we parked the restaurant's car park +p. They had a 2 day pass for you to tour all the museum but due to our time constraint and the boys had came before in the past, we only pick aviation museum.
