Being in Hawaii, reminds me of Singapore with beautiful beach, laid back attitude, tourists flowing around and tall buildings. What a nice escape from cold Aomori and everything is in English so i have no problem in communicating with anyone!
Before we went Hawaii, Shota told me U.S have tipping system so we should tip during resturants, cafes, hotels etc. Since their bill do not charge service charge so i understand we should tip them but in our hotel with amenities, i feel certain stuff we should not tip, but if we do not tip, we will also feel bad.
For instance, we have problems connecting hotel wifi and we had to tip the staff that gave us the correct login and password (but shouldn't this service be stated in our room instead of us calling the reception?). But that just the minor stuff.... Asians do not have tipping culture so that needs to get use to.
