Tokyo Day 3

On day 3, the day was slightly better without the glaring sun. Since we only had 4 -5hrs to spend while waiting for the boys to reach Tokyo. I decided to bring Kristi to Asakusa famous Senoji Temple. The rest are too far and need more time to sight see around. Before we left the house, we were just sitting around and chatting, we experienced level 6 or 7 earthquake. The building was really swaying back and fro obviously. No, i didn't freak out since all the things in the house was not tumbling down yet lol.. Terumi's friend that was with us at that time was exclaiming How can uguys be so calm! Like nothing happened?!
Anyway, we just maintained our original position and waited til its over. No sweat!

Tokyo has 2 main companies for their trains, 1 is called JR line and other is Tokyo metro. If you stay near to metro, i would recommend you to download this app called tokyo metro subway. Its is a fantastic app that allow you to key in station you are at and final destination you are going. It will then list the time required for the journey and which station you need to alight to transfer to other lines. With this app, i didn't get lost at all and able to find my way around the stations easily. For JR, i couldn't find a FREE app that offer same services. If anyone know, pls leave comment and let me know.

Then after we went to Tokyo station and try to find omiyage for Kristi to bring back home. We did not find anything she wants but there were plenty of cute anime or TV character type of snacks.

Later in that afternoon, we picked our bags and went to meet up the boys directly at the hotel we would be staying with them. Its was quite a distance from the hotel *The New Sanno Hotel* Only U.S military personnel and people whom they sign in along with can stay there. While walking, i was worried if we were in the right direction and we are getting hot and sweaty...... I was commenting to Kristi: i think its the right direction, you see over there there's 2 standing, should be Americans. Kristi said that's our friends isn't it? I realised Ya!!! Its Zack and Nicole!! I was really glad to see them! Zack being a gentleman took our bags and accompanied us walking back to the hotel.

The boys were dead beat, so we didn't go anywhere far from the hotel.

Look how my hair fly lol! @ Asakusa

Usually on weekend it will be swamped with tourists, on weekday its easier to walk around

we had craving for ramen and finally found 1 which seems to be popular with locals

fish soup based ramen

looks like they are only 6 yrs old, and they are taking metro without adults. so independent... i don't think back in spore, parents are comfortable letting their children travel back and fro at this age.

hehee people stopped in their steps and look at Kristi posing lol!

my addiction of potato chips! im obsessed with limited edition potato chips!

stayed @ The New Sanno Hotel for remaining 2days

drinking time!
