North 40-40

Finally we visit the North 40-40 French restaurant that okksan had recommended us months before. She had saw it on her friend's blog and told us to give it a try. Been wanting to go ever since then. We usually have lunch at restaurants rather than dinner as it is big saving for our wallet and lesser crowds as well.

I love the food here and it has become my top 1 restaurant for now. There are so many i have yet to try so i am looking forward to venture more places!

I have to go back studying now -_-... need to go take test at the driving school before they allow me to enrol... sighh all the $$ learnt in Singapore had gone to waste......

Here is the website if anyone is interested: http://www.north40-40.com/index.html

Hachinohe Air Show

Last sunday, we went to another air show in Hachinohe. Shota is very into aircraft and military stuff so if he have the chance to go and tour around inside the base. He will be in glee and with his shining eyes especially when he get to buy something he wants inside the base.

This time he was the few chosen one to board the military aircraft. He sent all 4 our names including my in laws and he was the only 1 being picked. Its was such a good and breezy weather that day. I made a mistake thinking its still summer and didn't thought of bringing a jacket. Boy i was so wrong! The wind was so cold and strong, majority of people attending came in jeans, jackets with multiple layer underneath. In the end poor Shota had to hand over his sweater to me and left freezing throughout the event.

The event is much more smaller scale compared to Misawa Airshow however they had more exhibitions of aircraft  and we could take a look more leisurely. My father in law went along with us and he was not feeling well that day. Poor him..... both of us were sitting or hiding between gaps of building to avoid the cold wind while waiting for Shota to board his aircraft. We waited 2 hours and sighed in relief when we saw Shota alighting the aircraft.

how cute, next time we will do the same to our kids

that suit is super heavy

Love and The Global Kitchen Dinner

During my Tokyo stay in Terumi's house, i fell in love with the only sweetest dog ever in my life. All along i love dogs and cats, its like having a baby... Its one thing to play and cuddle few hours with them and another thing to take care of them 24/7 for the rest of your life. It is a huge responsibility that  i am not willing to take until now.... Terumi's dog, Savi completely changed my mind about that.

I suspect Savi does not treat himself like a dog. He does not bark, eager to greet everyone even strangers like me! to do a hooray dance with his tail wagging non-stop and its just a few times then he stop so people don't get annoy at all, let anyone pet him any time, do not pee or poo at home, he only do it twice a day outside when he is taken out for a walk. We were about call a night and need Savi to sleep in his bed instead of ours, all i need to do is Savi, down. He went and didn't climb up on our bed until morning when he spotted us waking up. Sighh!! Miss him, i wish he is my dog. How sweet can a pet be?!

I told Shota that he is the neatest dog i ever seen and i kinda of wish i have a pet as well. Shota told me dog personality usually follow the owner, so he do not think i can have a dog with such personality.... OUCH!......

Kristi and i had dinner together at The Global Kitchen on Friday. Was kinda of surprised its so empty throughout 2 hours we were there since it was a Friday night, there was only 1 customer that came and left after her meal. Did not mean the meal is not good but i guess Japanese usually cook most of the time i guess. I love the meal since i rarely get to eat SEA cuisine nowadays especially tom yum soup, too bad that the soup get cold fast and it became too salty to continue drinking it.

Then after we went back to meet the boys as they were having farewell dinner and drinking session for Jason. Remember the handsome emcee that was hosting my wedding? He is leaving Misawa and transferred to Guam his home town. Sad that Shota is losing his buddy and happy that we can go Guam and visit him anytime!

Sweetest ever Savi!

constantly petting n playing w him whenever i am there. He will laid out for you to be pet

i KNOW... KFC is no big deal for uguys. But here, i have to get someone to drive me to the mall 20 mins away. Been craving for it for a long time and finally thanks to Kristi!! Happy girl!

Misawa Air Show

Kosuke, Shota's best friend came to visit us! We invited him to visit us as he was not able to take leave for our Singapore wedding due to work issues. Its been at least 3 yrs since i last saw him in Singapore. He's still as skinny as ever lol...

Shota brought him around and of course there's no gathering without a drinking session. The next day, we went to Misawa Air Show which is held in the Air Force Base. On a typical day, unauthorised personal are not allowed to enter and i am one of them lol! Shota had applied pass for me and its still in the process. Singapore nationality is one of their listed countries not allow to enter at all...... so i think they are still doing background check on me.

However with the Air show, they opened the base to the public on that day so i can go as well! Im surprise by the surge of people walking into the base, it was like all residents of Misawa and nearby towns all came here. Even my in laws from Aomori, stayed 1 night at the hotel to attend the Air Show. I hardly see anything as i have to keep up with Shota and Kosuke walking rapidly in front of me, otherwise we will lost them in the crowd of umbrellas. It was raining continuously throughout the day and we need to navigate through the crowd with pointy umbrellas hitting us... well u get the picture....

After a few hours, they decided to leave since they wish to go onsen as shota was drenched and then after we need to drive Kosuke back in time to Hachinohe JR station to catch his bullet train back to Yokohama. Poor Kosuke actually miss his train since there was a jam along the road and everyone was driving carefully due to the downpour. Thankfully, the train attendant was able to change to a later time free of charge after Shota's fierce persuasion. Its pretty useful when Shota has a scary face when he keep frowning at you and look like he will beat you into a pulp any time haha!

For all, i felt bad for my mother in law, she had to be the chauffeur throughout the day since the guys were drinking, enduring the constant commands in the car as we were rushing to the station. Luckily, nothing bad happened to us.... I was worried about speeding in the rain but then Kosuke need to catch his train so no choice....
