Hashikami Roadstation

Drove towards end of Hachinohe and stepped into Iwate zone. He wanted to try the sea urchin don and checkout Hashikami roadstation. This is our first time driving to this area and it pretty easier to drive since just drive straight all the way! The one coin lunch book has many stores available along this stretch of road just that its a hassle to drive 1 hour to eat something. Surprisingly, the Hashikamai road station is spacious with several small stores selling different food. There's even a Thai food store! We brought many vegetables, seaweed, crabs (still alive and inhaling bubbles!), fishcakes and etc. After that, went to ate lunch and urchin don was delicious (small portion for guy)! The urchin and the egg strike a prefect balance and taste of urchin lingered in our mouth for a long while. He rated the best so far among the restaurants we went. Seems like this restaurant catered to locals or those who drove along the highway (this way connect to highway going towards Tokyo). We were the only ones using the book. He enjoyed it so much that he wanted to come again the next rest day.

The place is big, much bigger than most of road stations nearby

full of seafood

still alive
