Went on a road trip to Yamagate Prefecture to Ginzan Onsen. I once read a travel book that the Taiwanese author introduced Fujiya Ryokan. I was in awe in the architecture and the simplicity of elegance of this ryokan. Ever since then i wanted to go visit at least once in my lifetime. When S mentioned if i have any place i wanted to go, i immediately chose here. It took around 7 hours of driving using the highway and halfway through we were stuck around sendai area due to car accident. We managed to reached around 4pm and Ginzan Onsen was located in very secluded area. It takes around 30 - 40 mins drive to get to nearest convenience store so we stocked up cup noodles and snacks in case we got hungry lol.. Since we took up the "cheapest" promotion and it stated it will served smaller amount of meal compared to normal plan.
Here the english website, if anyone is interested in Fujiya Ryokan. (I would suggest to book under Japanese version as they listed different promos under it unlike the English version). From what S said, i believed for those without car, they offer pick up service at train station i think.
