銀山温泉 Ginzan Onsen Road trip Day 3 part 1

Our last day in Ginzan Onsen before we leave shortly. Sadly to say on that particular day the weather became better and stopped snowing in the morning. It really tough for the staffs working here, i had seen them constantly shoving snow even till late night. Its not easy, after being outside just a while to shove the snow off, your hands turned numb even though you have your gloves on, then you can feel the coldness rising up from bottom of your feet. Last night there were power shortage around the area, almost everyone including us went to the balcony to see the situation. The staff brought torchlight for in case, Thankfully it didn't last for long and electricity was back in 20 mins. Too bad we couldn't enjoy our futon (Super super comfortable) longer as the breakfast was set at 8.30 am. After breakfast, we asked the staff what time should we checkout and she said 10am is fine but we can leave later as well. Knowing that we have a long way to drive back, we left earlier in case we got stuck somewhere.

breakfast!

just 1 night and it became ice!

i secretly sneaked into other rooms to take a peak.

this room is huge! double our room size and of course double the price lol!

our room does not have bathtub nor shower. you won't need it anyway with all the onsens

sneak into level 3 room.

waiting for checkout

銀山温泉 Ginzan Onsen Road trip Day 2 part 2

Went back to our place to relax and enjoy our onsen. All the 5 onsens in the ryokan were private style, so we can enjoyed it any time as long as there are no guests using it. I tried to take picture of the 5 onsens but it was too dark and there were steam surrounding it so did not managed to capture clear images of it. You can check their website directly which i given in earlier post before. That day we were the only guests left so all the onsens seemed like just for 2 of us haha!

our room door, you won't even notice it

銀山温泉 Ginzan Onsen Road trip Day 2 part 1

Early in the morning after a good sleep, everything was covered in white. As a result the water path and cave we were hoping to go, were closed. The entire pathway was blocked by snow, no way we could enter. What a pity! The good thing about all the inns here is that they are pretty used to this type of weather, so the moment you wish to head out they had rain boots, water proof jackets (if you didn't bring yours), umbrellas all prepared so rest assured that even if you didn't come prepared, you won't have to worry as well. By the stroke of "luck", S's rain boots had a hole and he only realised it when we walked a distance and he was getting wet haha!

view from our room in the morning

breakfast! the 1st time i tried natto, don't really like it.

they are super efficient, the moment we finished our breakfast and came back, the futons were all kept away. I was hoping to continuing slacking in them..

if anyone notice, this is a very famous ryokan and its building appeared in the famous anime "Spirited Away" as the bathhouse for gods including the red bridge (well it was covered with snow now).

hehe look how scary the volume of snow was

tasty famous tofu

blizzard!

free onsen for foot, although no one was crazy enough to sit there lol!
