Dragoncafe @ Aomori

Early in the dawn, i woke up at 5.45am to get ready as we need reach Aomori for him to go for interview. Nope he's not changing job but joining reserve army under JGSDF (Japan Ground Self Defense Force). In the event of huge scale disaster like tsunami, they will be called to help out etc. In Japan, the military service is not compulsory and alot people are very willing to enlist. Even Japanese girls will viewed this as one of ideal job for their husband because the military job belong under government worker. It is not easy to get in as well. There are 50 interviewees waiting and thats only in Aomori, They were recruiting 30 people for the whole Tohoku area, so u can imagine that other regions have around same number and competing for the same slots.

So while he was in the interview, i stayed in Okaasan house then. Ashamed to say, due to me being awake so early and the drowsy allergy medicine i consumed, i became sleepy and slept for 3 hours lol! I have to confess whenever i took long car/bus/train ride, i have a tendency to become drowsy and need to take a nap. Sachiko and grace if u recalled the 1st time we went to stay in ur house, while both of u were driving and navigating with the map, me and fengzhen would be sleeping like dead at the back ALMOST ALL THE TIME. Now back to present, 'he' hates it and will stop me as he needs some1 to talk to ensure he stays awake. I know how he feels BUT i cannot control it. So.... usually i will turn my face slightly towards my left and mumble in agreement. Opps!

waiting at the cafe

im wearing my father in law fire-fighter uniform when he's wearing shota's fire-fighter set,. Japanese is alot lighter than American and that's because they do and cannot enter the fire premises. Japanese houses are typically make of wood hence the fire spread easily. American houses are make of concrete, hence if fire is in 1 room, concrete will contain the fire in the room, allowing fire-fighters to go in and search for people.

one day i will be able to prepare and copy my mother in law recipe.

late celebration for okaasan belated bday.
