Start of my driving school Part 1

Since last Friday, i had officially started my driving school. As most of you know, i did learnt manual driving in Singapore but failed twice. Since i took private, the waiting time for the test was 3-4 months and i need to retake my advance theory test which validity last 2 years was expiring as well. In order for me to take a 3rd test, i need to wait 2 months to take and pass my advance to be allowed to book my next practical. In total, the total waiting period become at least half a year! Totally absurd!!!

In the end, we decided that i should move to Japan as scheduled and enrol to the school in Misawa instead. That was not easy as well. They only have Japanese instructors and given my lousy japanese skills, the head of school was reluctant to accept me. In fact i was rejected twice in 2 months and accepted on my 3rd interview after i passed their test. July, August is usually their peak period as it is time when students are having summer vacation and attend driving school.

Sigh! i really do not like driving and never once thought of getting a license in the past. But staying countryside, everyone have a car since all the stores are pretty far by walking or biking and they have alot of slopes. I am always breathless when i reach the closest supermarket to my house lol!

The school fee is 240000 yen which is around $3300 sin. Expensive huh? Singapore driving school cost even more...  Private instuctors on other hand cost much lesser if you managed to pass it on 1st try. I think i spent around $2,000, that is really $$ down the drain. My heart aches every time i think about it.

To be continue.......
