Due for Labour (Part 1)

Long overdue from blogging as it took me over a month to recover and to adjust to this new lifestyle (actually I have yet to adjust fully but S is nagging me to write my blog).

Previously I was saying that im hoping to give birth soon as I had past my due date and needed to pay from the next check up. Well.... my prayers had been heard and I had contraction pain (every 10 minutes interval) the very next day early morning! We got all my stuff and I was admitted around 9am. I wanted individual ward but it was fully taken up so I ended up staying in 4 person ward for 2 days. The first day I was able to finish my food, loiter around and read manga. The nurse checked me out and said I had only diluted 2cm and in order to give birth it has to be diluted to 10cm.

Day 2 morning, I only diluted 4 cm (or maybe still 2cm don't remember).
Gyane gave me 2 choices: Either to go back home and continue exercising to accelerate the birth or to take oral medication (1 dosage every hour for max 6 hours) to induce the birth. I chose the latter option as I did not want to go back home and who knows how long I have to drag on.. I already in my 40 weeks, just want to her out. (my body could not cope with the weight as well). Boy.... the meds made my contractions painful....In the meantime I still have to walk up down the stairs, bending motion, walk around so I could dilute further.

I was losing my appetite and sleep (who could sleep anyway lol... in such frequent interval of pain and intensity). At later point when my contraction came, it was till at point that if I sit, I would collapse to the floor, if I stand I would also collapse but it felt like the contraction went away faster and I coped with it better than in sitting position. My hip and legs could not support my weight and the pain anymore. I was writhing and screaming in pain (felt sorry to my surrounding neigbours)...

* Since it was a month plus ago and my memory has been deteriorating so this is roughly what I remembered
