Tokyo 2015 Day 2 Part 3

We switched hotel that day and shifted to 1 closer to venue which held the sumo match. Surprisingly the tickets were fully sold out and the crowd was massive. We had the 2nd tier ticket which cost 13,000yen ($150) and it came along all sorts of goodies (a bento box, yakitori, drink, plates, sumo chocolates..). You can choose the "house" you wish to support and the goodies given from that house are different from others. When we entered, i realised we had to sit on the ground within a box meant for 4. It was pretty cramped when you have bags, jackets, a pot of tea and 4 big paperbacks filled with goodies. My legs were aching at the end of day which we sat for 3 hours. The atmosphere was unlike compared watching on tv. I was not interested when i watch it on TV but watching live was very exciting. However i must say the waiting time for them to do the rituals was longer than the match itself. Rituals takes 10 -15 mins while the match usually last around 10 seconds. So i was caught dozing off in between the waiting intervals. :p. In my defence, i was awake since 4 am and been to many places before that.
Must thank obaachan for paying for all of us!
