JB Trip

Took Kristi to Johor Bahru, persuaded my unwilling brother to come along as bodyguard (felt safer if a guy came along) and my cousin Katherine obligingly took leave again to accompany us. The day before we went, we kept advising Kristi about the dangers and precautions e.g wear as simple as possible, do not bring any branded bags, her big diamond ring is to be kept at home and we even gave her a dorky green shopping bag to replace her LV bag lol! We (in fact it was me!) made her so worried that she asked if we really have to go JB and she didn't dare to tell her husband about the trip until we made it back safe and sound haha!. Poor her! She did not took any pictures outside JB shopping centre as the moment she whipped out her iphone, i told her to put it back in her bag.

We went to KSL shopping centre and had our massage. I was cracking up when i seen my brother came out from his session, he looked badly tortured; dishevelled hair, dark eye circle with lines underneath and he walked like a duck haha! It seemed that his massage therapist (very strong lady) used her all strength in the session. He had it so bad that his back had bruises and he could not sleep properly for 2 days. Felt so sorry for him but it was soooooooo hilarious!! Being the mean sister, i couldn't stop my laughter lol!

Cheeky Naomi

After attending the wedding, we went back home and waited for my uncle's arrival. I persuaded my uncle to drive us around Singapore for night tour lol! Our feet were extremely exhausted and there were few places that were easier to access by car like Mount Faber. Luckily my kind uncle agreed without hesitation hehe and he brought along his irresistible daughter, Naomi! She now at the age that she will do opposite of what u ask like how she refused to sing when we requested her to lol! Kristi had a way with kids and kept her occupied haha!  I still remembered her calling "Crispy" since she could not pronounce Kristi.

Wedding @ Crowne Plaza Hotel

Went to attend my good friend wedding at Crowne Plaza which was located at airport terminal 3. Super convenient as i had straight bus that goes directly to the airport and and bus stop was just under the terminal. It was pouring that day hence we were glad that we did not have to walk under rain in our heels. Good choice Yuling!..... Known her since my Starhub days (where i worked after graduating from polytechnic) which was around 10 years ago and we maintained the our friendship till now. Very happy for her that she had found the "special" one  to take care of her and deserved her =)!!
Have a blissful marriage and may the next time i visit, you already have good "news" haha!

Garden by the Bay

During Aug, read the news that Garden by the Bay was having orchid theme but it ended before we arrived Singapore. Nevertheless, it was one of the new attraction and a place i deemed worthy to bring Kristy so we went anyway. I was pleasantly surprised that there were plenty of orchids blooming and so many different species were available. So pretty to see! I hope they will have more of such theme in the future, its one place i wouldn't mind coming again!

For the past few days , we had been walking hours throughout the trip and our feet were covered in blisters lol! Especially Kristi's poor toes were covered with band aids haha! She was not used to all these walking even though i warned her before hand. We were quite exhausted that the moment we reached the cloud dome, we just sat on the benches and ate cookies and rested 15mins lol! We had not even walked up yet! I think most of the time we were resting more even till the night we were just sitting and chatting for 1 1/2 hrs waiting for laser show at Marina Sands shopping centre.

orchids all around!

be back again if there are new themes!

Universal Studio Singapore

Before coming back, i told Kristi to check if there's any particular place she wish to go and she chose USS. I was quite surprised by her choice since she is from the states, surely the universal studio in America is alot bigger and more fun than Spore. It turnout that she had never even to one in her country.

The original price was $73 per pax and their website was having mastercard promotion @ $68. After researching online, i managed to get it @ $61 from a travel agency however the ticket is an eticket not actual entry ticket. Anyway as long its cheap and allow me enter, who cares,,,, (though i was pretty worried that we can't enter the night before, luckily it turned out to be ok phew!) Actually i sourced even cheaper @ $55 but they told me 2days before that they can't get it and asked me to wait another day but i decided to buy from other instead.

Going on a weekday would be much better choice if you don't mind missing out the fireworks at 8pm during weekends (do check their website, their special schedule). We managed to sit almost everything and went twice for the rides we like. (the massive rollercoaster was closed, even if its open we won't have the guts for it :p).

Our favourites were the mummies and transformer rides (its bad idea to ride transformer after full lunch, made me feel sick in my stomach). I really regretted queuing for treasure hunter, it was boring and we queued 40 mins (in fact it was the longest wait that day for us) for such kiddish ride!!!! Never again! Pls kill me if i ever suggest going for it (i went uss 3 times and 1st 2 times i didn't ride it so was thinking for trying it this time). If you intend to try the water ride, remember to bring poncho otherwise u have to spend $4 to get it.

took it when i was sitting on the lousy ride

outside uss

yup its the lousy ride that we decided to take pic since there's NOTHING to see

Al'Frank Cookies

On our 1st day of arrival back to spore, we went to ica to get my passport and within 20 mins i got it.
I am so missing spore fast and efficient manner of processing documents, even Kristi thought that i was applying for passport not getting it! She was surprised it was ready for collection as in the states u would have to queue to submit documents and queue again for collection. Here we only need to apply online and i was asked to collect after 3 days. Thumbs up!!! In Japan countryside, S had to fill up 4-5 paperwork manually and to be told that something was lacking or wrongly filled up (when it was their staff that told us or given us the wrong forms or information). So don't go complaining abt Spore too much, i had learnt to appreciate what our government had done throughout the years.

After that we went bugis to have lunch and haji lane to shop around. There was a new cookie store at Haji Lane called al'frank cookies. The cookies aroma were too sinful too resist and we ate 4 days later, it was just as good as the 1st day!

A day @ Singapore Zoo

As mentioned in earlier post, i went back to Singapore and for the 1st week, Kristi came along with me to tour around the lion city. My lovely cousin Katherine took leave and brought us to the zoo with her corporate pass. Since the pass allowed 1 more person, her dad joined us along.

I was not expecting much from the zoo actually the last time i went was many years ago, but it turned out to be 1 of my best tours. In fact we enjoyed so much that we spent 5 hours in the zoo and my uncle whom supposed to leave earlier due to his lesson (he is a driving instructor), he cancelled his class and walked throughout with no complaint (bear in mind that he's close to 70 years old!).

It was pouring when we were on our way and when we reached it was almost ending... hence the weather was pretty cooling. We managed to see all animals and many of them were within our vicinity. Such fun!
