Lunch Buffet @ farm

Went with my parents in law to the farm for buffet lunch which costed 1000 yen each. It was mainly vegetables theme as most of the vegetables were planted by the farm. The place were mostly packed with locals, i like it but i prefer meat lol~ After that, i brought my father in law to see rabbits and noticed there were new baby rabbits... super adorable!

Okonomiyaki @ Misawa

A new okonomiyaki shop was opened months ago near the Misawa Base. Finally we found the time to try it! The store was really small that can fit 8 people, 4 people at the counter bar and 1 four seater table but the food and price was tasty and affordable. A basic okonomiyaki cost 500 yen onwards and seating the counter bar, the chef will make it for you which is even better.

焼肉きんぐ 八戸城下店 (Yakiniku King Hachinone)

3rd June is our 5th year anniversary and the only one that both agreed to celebrate and to remember. We have too many random dates to recall, etc Singapore rom date, proposal date, marriage date, Japan registered date........ Both of us are terrible in all these, especially him and we didn't care much about the dates we chose. Simply due to convenience and being very practical. Hence only keeping to 1 special date is the easiest for us haha! Ya... Both of us are not the romantic type.
Throughout the 5 years, he only sent flowers once and it was because i kinda of complaint to him that i never receive flowers from him.
On our anniversary, we went to a Yakiniku buffet dinner to celebrate.... hehe also not romantic but i love bbq meat so im happy. The food was delicious! 3000 yen for 100mins and the downside side was each table had a touch screen with timer counting down the minutes left.  I found myself keep staring at the screen and calculating what i could order and eat haha!

Back to Misawa (American Day)

Finally on my way home, taking Shinkansen back to Hachinohe and he picked me up heading to Misawa for American Day Festival. It is an annual event held by the base where they shared the American food, traditions with Japanese. Initially i wanted to stay another night at my friend's house but he said i should not miss this. The scale of the festival was really big, bigger than i expected and he was right. It was really interesting with tons to see. Too bad the weather was scotching hot and after being in Tokyo being burnt in the sun for 5 straight days, i escaped back to our home around 1 round. Next year! Hopefully the weather is cooler then...

bye caroline i be back!

the cleaning team that finish cleaning up the bullet train within 7 mins! Impressive!

Tokyo Last day

Finally, its the last day as i sent my parents back to the Haneda airport, happened to meet my ex colleague at the airport. How rare! They happened to be on the same flight and he helped me to look after them once they go through the customs. After that, i headed back to my friend house since i was staying a night with them before returning to Misawa. They were commenting how difficult it was for them to eat ramen and fast food ever since Caroline is born. As Sachi and I were dying to eat our ramen, we went ahead first and William came half a hour later with the baby so we could switch over taking care of the baby. Tokyo is not really baby friendly city, i saw more pet stores than baby stores and the subway system most of them were stairs linking the passageway.

happy family!

my fav always craving ramen in tokyo

tsk tsk so serious

oooo both were delicious! thanks sachi!
