Friend Visit

Their yearly fishing holiday came again, S even brought a new boat. Only difference was that this time his friend got engaged! Getting marry in 2 years time :) Next year he might even bring her along to our house! 

Both of us played the puzzle and dragons game and he is super good at it, so its a good chance for me to ask him for advice e.g which monster is good etc..... Then I went to spend most of money I had in game to get that character... When I show him I got it the next day.... He said why I get it?!!! Turnout that he said its was good but not suitable for me.... since I am not good at getting combos........ Felt like strangling him!

He arrived at the good time since we made him brought back our vegetables and corns back to his mum place in Aomori. We have too many especially potatoes!

Birthday Celebration with my in laws

My in laws prepared a feast for me! To be more specific its a spaghetti feast! 4 types of spaghetti cooked by my father in law! He wanted to make the fifth type but he ended up being tipsy and forgot about it. Thankfully! We could not finish it at all, delicious but too much! My mother in law prepared the salad, meat and brought us to choose our cakes! Thank you for always being so nice to me :)

Birthday! @ North 40-40

Booked North 40-40 to celebrate my birthday. The longer we got married, the more we feel the need to do something special haha! Maybe I should request to do something like activities (water rafting) or something... Wish to join and do water sports or even tree climbing! Do you hear that, S?!

Harvest Time

We tried to plant melon this year and was expecting to get bigger (Like melon size that we see at supermarkets). Sadly, both melons dropped by itself and we were like arh..... we failed.... 

Was thinking its yet to be ripe but when we ate it, it was super sweet! Same sweetness as typical melons but small (super small) haha! Wasn't such a fail specimen after all. 

Randomly went to a store that specialise in selling cheap and affordable vegetables and fruits and discovered they were also selling the melons we grow in our garden! All around the same size we had! Only cost $1.50 (100 yen)... Wow....

Game Play Date

Went on the base (Tohoku Dining) for lunch, its was Mexican buffet on a Tuesday. 

That day was not his day hehehe!!! He lost all games to me! By a big margin! 

Hehehe once again!!

Experimented using our 3 different colour potatoes: pink. purple and brown to make potato salad. The final result turned out to be light purple! 

Spore 1st Gold Medal in Olympics!

On Saturday morning was surfing facebook, it was flooded with messages that our Singapore swimmer, Joseph Schooling won gold medal in 100m @ 2016 Olympics! It was the first in our history that we had won "GOLD"! Went to Youtube to search for the playback, it was a pity that Singapore did not pay for the broadcasting rights. Such glorious moment! Thank you Joseph Schooling !

Many was complaining how stingy the government is but sad to say... Olympic broadcasting rights is not cheap..... its over the board expensive...... Many television companies had many companies sponsors willing to chip due in to high national viewers supporters which in turned generated high commercial value. In Singapore, few get to make it into Olympics and locals were rarely enthusiastic. Who will making watching Olympics live when our Singapore players are not in it most of the time anyway. Not to mention to watch Rio live, it means that you have to be watching it from 8pm to 7am due to time difference.

Ramen @ Aomori

Went back to Aomori and ate at the ramen restaurant that was opened by S's schoolmate. She happened to be around and both of them realised how near both of their houses are. The ramen serving is big but you can choose to smaller portion and get free dessert or ingredient (e.g egg, 1 slice of meat). Pretty good service.  

Fish based soup ramen, I downgrade 1 size and chose the egg.

Potato Day!

Both of us spent one afternoon digging up all the potatoes. I knew S planted the potatoes but I did not know the volume was so huge! Digging out it the easy part but washing them......... So so so tedious! Did not know there were so many species of potatoes but in  different colour and tasted just like potatoes. Lol.... forgive my naivety, really never seen those colours before.
